What height tower do I need?

To get the correct tower scaffolding height for your job, you need to know what height you want your feet to be (platform height), so take into consideration your own height when planning your hire! The average two-storey home in the UK is between 6-9 metres tall to the ridge of the roof, or roughly 6 metres to gutter level.

For internal use, you should take into consideration the overall height of the scaffolding, including the guardrails which account for 1 metre above the platform. If your ceiling is 3m high, the maximum size tower you can fit in would have a platform height of 2 metres.

For taller towers, we will always recommend using the longest boards with the widest frame, for stability. Our tower frames are either 900mm or 1500mm in width, and 1800mm or 2500mm in length. Just specify which you would like when you call up to book.

How is the tower priced?

We price our tower based on the height only. This means the tower is the same price regardless of the width of frame or length of board. The prices given on the phone may not include delivery. This is charged additionally to the hire cost.
